International transactions are a growing part of our economy. More transactions inevitably lead to more business disputes and contract issues.  We know from the Global Pound Conference, which asked key questions in cities around the world, that businesses don't want their resources or employees diverted from their primary operating focus to deal with lengthy and expensive court proceedings – particularly in someone else's home court.  They want predictable, quick, and cost-effective solutions so they can get back to providing services, selling, and buying. The New Jersey Statutory Solution

GMXC was created specifically to administer and resolve cross-border commercial disputes under the New Jersey International Arbitration, Conciliation and Mediation Act.  GMXC follows the mandates of the Act to provide a hybrid dispute resolution process where, if mediation is successful, it will be converted into an enforceable Consent Arbitration Award under an international United Nations Treaty known as the New York Convention (more formally, the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards). This Treaty has been signed by 172 countries.  In conducting a prompt mediation, GMXC offers self-determination, confidentiality, creativity, and the ability to preserve and restore relationships in business disputes with important business partners and customers, reaching a quick resolution at a low cost. 

You do not need to be a New Jersey resident or company to use the mixed-mode mediation/arbitration process administered by GMXC

Almost any dispute with a global component is eligible under the Act.  Check eligibility guidelines.

To start this process, the parties submit a pending dispute at any stage (in any forum) to GMXC.  GMXC then appoints a Neutral who will mediate the dispute, generally by videoconference.  If they resolve the dispute in mediation, the settlement is converted to a Consent Arbitration Award, enforceable around the world.
 
The GMXC Neutral Panel is comprised of highly qualified Arbitrators/Mediators who are both trained arbitrators and mediators.  Most disputes can be disposed of under GMXC’s flat fee schedule, which includes two days of dispute resolution services.
